Terms of Hat Hire

 

Hats are a brilliant addition to any special occasion outfit but they are also very delicate and can be prone to damage if they are not looked after correctly. So with this in mind please see below the Terms of Hire and some tips on how to look after your Hiorns Hats correctly.

All hirers are kindly asked to read and agree to these terms before you (the customer) hire a Hiorns Hat(s).

Payment:

Please see details below for hire charges, deposits, refunds and postage and packaging:

  • Hire fee:  The typical hire fee will range from £55 to £85 depending on the piece and length of hire

  • Deposit:  When hiring a hat from Hiorns Hats you will be charged a £50 deposit (unless otherwise agreed).  This will be fully refunded when the hat is received back in the exact same condition as when you hired it.  The deposit will be returned via the same payment method used to pay.

  • Postage & packaging:  All details of P&P will be agreed at the time of hire. 

 

Refunds:

  • No refunds will be given if you do not wear the hat – for example if it does not suit you or your outfit or the event is cancelled. 

  • If you have any questions or concerns about the hat or believe it is damaged / faulty please get in touch before you wear it.

Delivery:

  • All Hiorns Hats will be sent in boxes, carefully wrapped in tissue and must be returned in the same way. 

  • All hats are sent 1st class, with proof of postage.

Returning the hat(s):

  • By agreeing to these terms, you agree that you’ll return the hat(s) you hire from Hiorns Hats in the exact condition you hired it/them.

  • I understand that sometimes accidents can happen.  In this instance the deposit will be kept in full or part to cover repairs where possible.  If the hat(s) is/are lost or damaged beyond repair, you may be charged extra to cover the cost of replacing the item.   

  • If you’re not delivering the hat(s) back to Hiorns Hats you will need to return it/them by recorded delivery. 

  • The hat(s) is/are your responsibility until it/they are delivered back to Hiorns Hats so please make sure that you receive proof of postage from the Post Office.

  • The hat(s) must be returned in it's/their box, wrapped in the same way it was delivered to you.

  • If the hat(s) is/are not returned by the day it was agreed, you will be charged an extra day’s hire for each day it/they is/are late.

  • If you decide you need the hat for longer, just let me know as soon as possible and I can adjust your payment accordingly.
