SS23 Pirouette
"She Danced Where Others Walked"
After months in the planning and making I'm extremely proud to present this years Spring/Summer Collection.
The collection takes inspiration from ballerinas and the graceful way in which they move. Using their limbs to create beautiful shapes which swirl and loop, often defying gravity.
A mix of shapes from large brims to headbands, focussing on making elegant pieces which are classic in design but quirky and fun by nature.
Delphine
This was the first piece that I worked on for the Pirouette collection and the starting point for the whole idea really. Something about the way the gold glistens against the silky smooth white leather makes me think of sunny days at the races.
If you want to stand out from the crowd and turn heads for all the right reasons then this is the hat for you.
Sylvie
A graceful and elegant hat made from green leather and a flattering wide straw brim of ivory, green and pink. Finished with a neat ivory leather bow at the back.
Madeline
A stunning yellow sinamay boater with grey crown, decorated with beautiful yellow bead detail. The back is decorated with a simple sophisticated straw bow.
Elodie
Striking blue straw hat with an eye catching bow design. This piece is a quirky take on a classic style. The gravity defying bow adds height to the wearer and the base shape is very flattering.
Violette
A soft lilac leather headband with iridescent silver swirls. This is a beautiful sculptural statement piece.
Camille
Pink and red bow.
This extra tall headband in pink straw with a colour clashing red and pink leather bow to the back hugging the back of the head.
The mix of fabrics is luxurious and gives this piece a very smart look.
Fleur
Pale pink straw button hat, with statement show spiral which is lime green fading through to pink with an ombre effect. Eye catching colours with a two tier design.
Clemence
Made from yellow and cream straw simplicity is her super power.
Guaranteed to bring the sunshine to every occasion.
All of the hats are made to order and available in any colours.
My vision of using a real ballerina for the photo's came true. I was lucky enough to come in to contact with Chloe via instagram, I'm absolutely over the moon with the photo's. In fact they have turned out even better than I imagined they would. Chloe is a freelance ballerina and reformer Pilates Instructor. She trained with the Royal Ballet School and completed training at KS Dance. After graduating during the hectic covid times Chloe has now performed in several ballets with Birmingham Royal Ballet and has toured around the UK and even to the Maldives for special events.
